Views from downtown Xela

Food stands are everywhere.  (If our friend, Fred, were here, he would love to eat there!!)
The usual mode of transportation.  The young men hang out the door of the vans and yell what route they are taking and they pack the people in.  Lots of the vans are really beat up.
Town is full of small shops everywhere.

Some bundles are very heavy.  We saw one woman with a huge tub of bananas on her head.(wasn't quick enough to get a picture.

The stairs are fairly new, at least they can get up to their home easily.












Up in the mountains. As we drive we go way up into mountains and see beautiful views.  We are grateful to be up in the higher elevations as the climate is cool and wonderful.
