Views from downtown Xela
The old Catholic Cathedral on the plaza |
Usual traffic |
Food stands are everywhere. (If our friend, Fred, were here, he would love to eat there!!) |
The usual mode of transportation. The young men hang out the door of the vans and yell what route they are taking and they pack the people in. Lots of the vans are really beat up. |
Town is full of small shops everywhere. |
Some views from our meanderings....
Photos from our travels around the country
The women carry everything on their heads.
The stairs are fairly new, at least they can get up to their home easily.
Up in the mountains. As we drive we go way up into mountains and see beautiful views. We are grateful to be up in the higher elevations as the climate is cool and wonderful.
