On P-day we all went to Lake Atitlan, rode in a boat across the lake, ate lunch then back (one way was over an hour) Lots of fun.

These are called "Toot-Toots". They are three wheel taxis. Pretty cool and efficient in the narrow streets.

Mazatenango is in the tropics. It was hot and humid and banana stands were along the roadside.

View from our Apt. on a busy Saturday. The people love to come to the Temple. They come incolorful buses, cars,open trucks or any way they can. It is a busy beehive each week.

Women go to a neighborhood laundromat to do their laundry in a common pool. This woman was scrubbing while her child bobbed back and forth and slept through it all. The babies are so adorable here!

Xela apartments-across the driveway from the Quetzaltenango Temple. Ernie counted 93 steps from the white doorway entrance to the front door of the Temple!! What a Sacrafice!!

No seatbelt law in Guatamala!! This is a group that was travelling along the highway. We saw them as we were going to Joyabaj, a village, to a Sacrament Meeting.
